An American actor, born on January 2, 1926 in Nashville, United States to a Jewish family. At the age of 13, he moved with his family to New York City, where he began studying acting.He served in the US Navy during World War II. After the war, he studied drama at Columbia University, where he graduated with honors. He began his acting career in 1953 and is best known for From the Terrace (1960), Pay or Die (1960), and Brushfire (1962). He died on December 28, 1993 in North Hollywood, California, USA of a heart attack.
