A Japanese actor, born in Kyoto, Japan, to his father, actor Tsumasaburō Bandō. He is known for his participation with his younger brothers Masakazu and Ryō in a number of various works. He attended Doshisha University in Kyoto and made his film debut in Onna no Sono (1965). He also appeared in the film Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970).
