British and American actor, born on December 27, 1879 in the United Kingdom, he had seven siblings. He made his debut in 1902 on theater in the play Sherlock Holmes' story at the Marina Theater. His life with films in Hollywood continued until the forties. He participated in The classic Maltese Falcon (1941) with Humphrey Bogart & Peter Lorre. He collaborated with Lorre on eight other films after that. In eight years, he made 24 films. He died on January 18, 1954 in Hollywood due to diabetes.
