An American actress, who was born in Spokane, Washington state, on July 23, 1913 as Sally Perkins Rutter and died in Santa Monica, California, on January 8, 1983 of lung cancer. She is best known for her roles in: They Drive by Night (1940), and Knute Rockne All American (1940). She signed a contract with Warner Brothers and presented a series of films Four Daughters (1938), Daughters Courageous (1939), Four Wives (1939) and Four Mothers (1941).
