British actor, born March 5, 1874 in Prudhoe, Northumberland, England, United Kingdom as Travers John Hegarty. He married Ann Leather Murphy. His most famous works are The Invisible Man (1933), Mrs. Miniver (1942), and Shadow of a Doubt (1943). He died on October 18, 1965, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA United States of America due to atherosclerosis at the age of 91 years.
