With the help of her colleagues Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz and Jaafar Wally, she contributed to creating a theatrical style different from the prevailing art at that time, and because of her theatrical roles, she received an honorary doctorate in theatre. She made her cinematic debut in The Ruined House in 1975. She won the Crystal Phoenix Award at the Fajr International Film Festival for her role in the movie Travellers in 1992, before receiving the same award for her role in the movie Leila in 1997.
