Lea Padovani was one of the pioneers of Italian cinema after World War II. She graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome in 1944 and worked as a showgirl. In 1946, she began her long and successful career as an actress in the comedy theater and worked with Orson Welles. In the fifties, she participated in many novels written for television. She began her film career with Italian cinema in 1945. She also participated in British cinema in the late forties with the film Give Us This Day (1949). She participated in many joint films with French cinema, such as Black Dossier (1955), and with American cinema, such as Candy (1968). She died in Rome, Lazio, Italy on June 23, 1991.
