She was a beautiful blonde born to a ballerina mother, who pushed her daughter to take the art path since the age of ten, appearing in concerts Minstrel Shows and trained in dancing and acting at the Vye Competon Studio for the Performing Arts. In 1930, she returned to school for two years, and she gained experience in nightclubs as a chorus girl in musical performances in London. In 1933, she appeared on stage with Fred Astaire, who trained her to dance, and she returned to the cinema after 5 years when she became a lively young woman, Presenting B-category entertainment comedies and musical shows, such as The Dictator (1935), Radio Pirates (1935), and LuckyDays (1935). She returned to the theater to work with writer and actor Stanley Lupino, who fell in love with her. In 1942, Lupino died, and she had a nervous breakdown and moved away from the cinema. She returned in 1946 and starred in dramas, such as Green for Danger. She married Lord Dominic Giuffre secretly in 1951 and made her last movie, I'll Get You (1952). In the early 1960s, she returned to live in London, and spent her last years in the gardening business. in the gardens of her villa.
