British actress, model, TV presenter, and activist born on 25 February 1986 in London, UK to Pakistani parents. Her first job in the media was hosting a pop culture series on T4, the leading youth entertainment program in the UK. She also wrote for Cosmopolitan and The Huffington Post. Two years later, she became the face of Maybelline and Nails Inc. In 2012, she released her own fashion line and became a fixture in magazines such as British Vogue, Glamour, and Cosmopolitan. She appeared in 2012 in the series Animals and is most famous for her role in the series The Good Place.
