She is a Sri Lankan actress. Her family moved to the UK, where she completed her primary education. After getting a graduate degree in Drama and Theater Arts from Goldsmiths, University of London, she moved to New York City on a scholarship to take the Film Acting Workshop at the New York Film Academy. She launched her acting career with Mother Teresa: In the Name of God's Poor (1997). She is known for Funny Boy (2020), The Good Karma Hospital (2017-2022), and Requiem (2018).
