A British actress who was born in Hong Kong, on April 18, 1912, as Marguerite Wendy Jenkin, and died in Englewood, New Jersey, USA, on February 2, 1978, from complications of a stroke. Wendy received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 for her film work. Wendy is best known for her roles in The Saint Strikes Back (1939), The Saint Takes Over (1940), The Gay Falcon (1941) and A Date with the Falcon (1942). Wendy was educated at Convent School in England, and Finching School in Switzerland. After working for two years in the London theater, Alexander Korda discovered her. Wendy made her first British film, Collision (1932), and her most important film in Britain was The Private Life of Henry VIII (1933), where she played the role of Henry VIII's third wife.
