He was an American actor, director, and writer. He was born on January 31, 1875, in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, USA. He appeared in over 300 films through his 30-year career. His debut was in The Adventures of Kathlyn (1913). He is known for Maniac (1934), The Arizona Kid (1930), and The Last Chance (1926). He died on May 21, 1945, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA.
