Feminist activist, film director, writer, and producer, born in 1960 in Tabriz, Iran. She is the wife of Iranian actor and producer Mohammad Nikbin. She is known for her unique style of filmmaking from a female point of view. After graduating from architecture from the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), in Tehran, Iran in 1986. She trained as a screenwriter and assistant director after attending a workshop in 1979. She made her debut in Children of Divorce (1990). She is known for The Unwanted Woman (2005), Pay Back (2010), and The Fifth Reaction (2003).
