British actor, born in Staffordshire, England, on September 12, 1927. Freddy had attended Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in Kent, England, on a scholarship. Freddy was married to Jennie Heslewood, and they had three children. Among his most famous works are: The Elephant Man in 1980, Krull in 1983, Dune in 1984 and The Count of Monte Cristo in 2002. Freddie died in Oxfordshire, England, on July 9, 2019 due to his short illness, at the age of 91.
