A British actor born in York, England on November 2, 1908. He is an English film and television actor, playwright, film and theater critic. He worked as a war correspondent for the BBC during the years of World War II. He switched between comedies and dramas, playing the roles of businessmen, clergymen, upper-class men, and military officers. One of Reginald Beckwith's best-selling successful plays was Boys in Brown 1949, and he co-wrote the 1952 film You Only Young Twice. His most important works include: Curse of the Demon (1957), Sword of Lancelot (1963), Thunderball (1965) and Gonks Go Beat (1964). He died of a heart attack in 1965 at the age of 56.
