A Japanese singer, model, and actress, who is the older sister of singer and actress Shinobu Nakayama. Nakayama was born in Japan. She released her first album titled (C). She also appeared in the movie Be-Bop High School (1985) and the movie Love Letter (1995). She was nominated for the Japanese Academy Award for Best Actress in 1998 for her role in the movie Tokyo Biyori.
