A British actor, born in Ireland, UK on April 27, 1875, and died in Beverly Hills, California, USA on August 28, 1964. His notable films include: Gunga Din (1939), and Rebecca (1940). He studied at St Dunstan's College in London, and appeared on stage at the age of 19, and later appeared on Broadway, where he presented more than 35 plays. He made his film debut in the silent film As in a Looking Glass (1916). His last film appearance was in The Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake (1959), and his last TV appearance was in 1961 in Thriller. He died in 1964, at the age of 89.
