An American stage, film and television actor, born as Robert Dorsey Kellard in Los Angeles, California, USA, on April 23, 1915. He was married twice. Among his works are The Argyle Secrets (1948), Drums of Fu Manchu (1940), Canon City (1948) and King of the Royal Mounted (1940)....Read more He graduated from Hollywood High School, and attended Santa Monica Junior College, and after graduation, he worked various jobs such as carpenter, beach lifeguard and sailor. He began working on Broadway in 1934 and was a member of the Stagecraft Theater. He worked in cinema in small roles until he signed with Columbia, but he joined the US Navy during World War II for 4 years, then returned to Columbia, working in B-movies. His most famous roles were with The Three Stooges. He also worked on television as an actor, writer and director. After his retirement from acting, he worked as a rep for Showcase Films. He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on January 13, 1981, of prostate cancer accompanied by pneumonia, at age 65.
