An American stage, film and television actor, born as Robert Dorsey Kellard in Los Angeles, California, USA, on April 23, 1915. He was married twice to fashion models. Among his works are The Argyle Secrets (1948), Drums of Fu Manchu (1940), Canon City (1948) and King of the...Read more Royal Mounted (1940). He graduated from Hollywood High School, and attended Santa Monica Junior College, and after graduation he worked various jobs such as carpenter, beach lifeguard and sailor. He worked on Broadway since 1934, as he was a member of the Stagecraft Theater, and worked in cinema in small roles until he signed with Columbia, but he joined the US Navy during World War II, for 4 years, then returned to Columbia, to work in B-movies often as a writer, reporter and guard. His most famous roles were with The Three Stooges. He also worked in television as an actor, writer and director. After his retirement, he worked as a movie sales marketer. He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on January 13, 1981, of prostate cancer accompanied by pneumonia, at age 65.
