Russian actor, born in Moscow, Russia, as Feodor Ivanovich Chaliapin Jr. He is the son of the famous Russian musician Feodor Chaliapin Sr., and the ballet dancer Iola Tornagi. He fled with his father from Russia to Paris after the Russian Revolution in 1917. He got married more than once. His works include The Lion of St. Mark (1963), The Name of the Rose (1986), and Moonstruck (1987). He died in Rome, Italy, on September 17, 1992, at the age of 86.
