American actor, director, and producer born on 9 August 1888 in Central City, Colorado, US. He began his career as a baseball player then began acting as an extra with Universal Studios then began taking larger roles and directing. His most notable works include Seven Keys to Baldpate (1925), Safety Last! (1923), and The Rainbow Man (1929). He died on 24 April 1967 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, US.
