American actor born on 4 February 1859 in Marseille, France. He began his career on stage in San Francisco, and made his onscreen debut in 1915, appearing in about 190 films between 1916 and 1937. His works include Our Gang: Mush and Mil, Teacher's Beau, and The Lucky Corner. He died of brain hemorrhage on 27 March 1939 in Los Angeles, California, US.
