An American singer and actor, he was born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, on May 18, 1912. Perry Como has won multiple Emmys, Grammys, and 3 stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his radio, television and music career. Como was married to Roselle Belline (1933- 1998), had a child and adopted two, and she remained with him until her death. He sold millions of records and had multiple hit songs, including "Catch a Falling Star", "It's Impossible" and "And I Love You So". He appeared in a few films, including Words and Music (1948), and If I'm Lucky (1946). He's known for hosting his own musical variety television show. He continued to perform at concerts until he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and died in 2001 at the age of 89.
