An American actor, he was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, on December 29, 1892. Emory was married to actress Effie Laird, they had two children and remained with her until his death. His film debut was in Arson Gang Busters (1938), after which he appeared in over than 250 films till 1972. He's known for Foreign Correspondent (1940), The Miracle of Morgan's Creek (1943), and Ma and Pa Kettle Back on the Farm (1951). He died of a heart attack in 1979 at the age of 86.
