A British actress born in Hammersmith, London, England on April 16, 1916. She married actor William Dexter (1967-1974), did not have children, and remained with her husband until his death. She is known for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1960), Never Take Candy from A Stranger...Read more (1960), and Horror of Dracula (1958). She became an English film, stage, and television actress and director, who appeared in many fantasy and horror films when she was young. She was the daughter of a Polish pilot in the British Royal Air Force. She began her artistic life as an 8-year-old girl in the movie Circus Friends (1956). She got trained at Corona Academy in Hammersmith in London. She started appearing on television in 1959 with the series The Flying Doctors, and her best series was Little Women (1970), where she participated in 9 episodes. She also appeared on stage in 1961 when she played Helen Keeler in William Gibson's play The Miracle Worker. She produced and acted in her latest film, the British horror short film, Green Fingers 200.
