An American actor, born in Veracruz, Mexico, on October 6, 1890, as John Rockwell Trowbridge. He married Helen Dewey, who stayed with him until his death. Among his notable works are Jack Rockwell: The Lawless Frontier (1934), 'Neath the Arizona Skies (1934), Outlaw Justice...Read more (1932) and The Law Rides (1936). He was a World War I veteran, and before his work in the cinema, he was a firefighter. He played roles such as the outlaw, the farm owner and the gambler. He was also known for playing the lawmen in Westerns. He died of pneumonia in Glendale, California, USA, on November 10, 1947, at age 57.
