He was born in Los Angeles and became an actor after graduating from high school, where he did some extra work. The first movie in which he spoke was The Fighting Seabees (1944) with John Wayne. After making several films, he was recruited to the Pacific Front and returned to California after he spent most of his career providing small roles and additional works until he was called to the role of the short-sighted guard in the TV series F Troop (1965-1967), where he participated in 47 episodes. He made his last movie Eye of the Tiger (1986) and stopped working until he died in 2007 at the age of 84.
