She starred in her beginnings in American Western films, and her first appearance was in the movie Gold Mine in the Sky (1938). She presented in the cinema the roles of maids, secretaries, spinsters, and curious neighbors. She had a major role in TV series, the most famous of which was the series Hazel (1961-1966), where she presented 36 episodes. The last appearance was in the TV series McMillan & Wife 1974, and she died of kidney failure in 1976 at the age of 61.
