An American actor, born in Patterson, on July 31, 1910. He got married to Marion Ruth Smith (1949-1970) and remained with him until his death. He was born into a theatrical family, he toured as a child in theater shows. He studied at the University of Alabama and Rutgers University and appeared on Broadway with Ethel Barrymore. He worked on radio for 10 years. Among his most important works are: Hawaiian Eye (1959), Matinee Theater (1957), Hallmark Hall of Fame (1952), and The Ford Theater Hour (1949). He died in Los Angeles, on July 7, 1970, of a heart attack and stroke.
