American actress born on 20 January 1980 in Atlanta, Georgia, US. She made her acting debut in the seventh grade where she performed in a school play. She took acting, singing, and dance lessons (with a focus on ballet) until high school. Her first professional job was performing "The Pearl Fishers" on the St. Louis Opera Theater. This led to her joining several ballet companies over the years, until the Ballet Hispanico led her to New York City, where she rediscovered her love for acting and began pursuing it as a career.
