He was an American actor and stunt performer, born in Alameda County, California, USA, as Franklin A. Almstead. He often worked with the director Cecil B. De Mille. He is known for The Ten Commandments (1956), Broadway Limited (1941), and The Buccaneer (1958). He died at the age of 53 on February 28, 1962, in Los Angeles, California, USA.
