American actor born in Baker City, Oregon, US on 1 September 1918. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and a supporter of the Motion Picture & Television Fund. He was also a voice teacher at Pasadena House. He studied performing arts at the University of Oregon, and began his career as a radio actor in Portland. He made his film debut on City Across the River (1949). His most notable works include Cimarron City (1958-1959), Gun Street (1961), and Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1956-1962). He died of a heart attack on 25 March 1964 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, US.
