American actor born July 15, 1906 in Manila, Philippines as Marcus Leo Fishman. His parents died when he was five, so he was raised in an orphanage in China. He moved to America in 1933 and worked in the summer for 42 years as a lifeguard on the beaches of Avalon, California. His first work was Convicted (1950), and his last work was Starsky and Hutch (1977). In 1975, he became a naturalized citizen. He appeared in numerous uncredited roles including The Doris Day Show (1970). He died on December 22, 1977 in Palm Springs, California, USA due to a heart attack.
