An American bodybuilder and actor, born to a Lebanese father and an American mother in Indianapolis, Indiana, on June 17, 1932. He got married to fitness consultant Sharon M. Hildebrand in 1960 and they have a child. He studied at Arsenal High School Technical, Indianapolis, and graduated from Butler University, Indianapolis. He won a number of bodybuilding titles, which qualified him for film and television appearances. He was hired by the US Army to appear in a series of commercials, playing Superman. However, his assignment was terminated after he posed nude on the cover of Playgirl magazine as April 1974's Man of the Month. Among his notable works are: Mission: Impossible (1966), Challenge of the Gladiator (1965), and Goliath at the Conquest of Damascus (1965).
