He is a Syrian writer. He graduated from the University of Damascus and worked as a text editor for Radio Damascus. He published a number of books and novels, including The Secret of the Engraved Spear, The Legend of the Horse Riders, and The Call of the Green Planet. He also wrote several TV productions, such as Allah Almighty Is Truthful S2 (1999).
