An American actress, born in Paso Robles, California, USA, on April 20, 1925. She was nominated for an Emmy Award in 1971 and 1972 and for a Golden Globe in 1973. Also, she won an Image Award in 1971 and received a star on the Walk of Fame in 1960. She married twice and had one child. She is known for Marcus Welby, M.D. (1969-1976), House of Frankenstein (1944), Cyrano de Bergerac (1950), and The Big Sombrero (1949). Elena started working in cinema at the age of 5, and her career spanned for 6 decades. She studied dance, drama, and music when she was young and appeared in her beginnings as a dancer. She sang with a band before continuing her career in cinema and on television. She died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on May 30, 2017.
