A Russian-born American actress, born in Perm, Russian Empire, on November 25, 1902, as Tamara Veniaminovna Nikulin. She married actor Akim Tamiroff (1933-1972), with whom she remained until his death. Her most important works include Pirates of Monterey (1947), Confidential Report (1955), and It Happened in Brooklyn (1947). Tamara Shayne was a character actress who played supporting and minor roles in Hollywood during the thirties and forties, and she appeared in European films in 1927 before going with her husband to the United States in 1929. She died at the age of 80 in Los Angeles, California, USA, on October 23, 1983, of a heart attack.
