He was an American actor, born on July 13, 1882, in Portland, Oregon, USA. He was an actor who appeared in both silent and sound films. At the age of 14, he launched his acting career with the Baker Stock Company in Oregon. Before appearing in Laurel and Hardy films, he appeared in several local silent films. Among his notable works are Behind Closed Doors (1929), The Smoke Eaters (1926), and The Tiger's Shadow (1928). He married two times and had two children. He passed away from a stroke at the age of 73 on September 2, 1955, in Burbank, California, USA.
