A South African actress, born in Cape Town, South Africa, on September 3, 1889. She was married to the director and cinematographer Fred J. Balshofer and remained with him until his death in 1969. She provided supporting and additional roles such as a housekeeper, secretary, nurse, nanny, teacher, and others. She is known for Banjo on My Knee (1936), Broadway Big Shot (1942), and Noose for a Gunman (1960). She died in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, on August 7, 1976, of pneumonia.
