An American singer-songwriter, guitarist, composer, publisher, and actor, born in Enville, Oklahoma, USA, on June 1, 1915, as Cyrus Whitfield Bond. Johnny Bond married Dorothy. He received the Pioneer Award at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 1975. Among his most notable credits are Big Daddy (1999), Gallant Bess (1946), Fallout: New Vegas (2010), and Infamous (2006). Johnny co-founded a music publishing company and was active in the music industry from 1940 until the late 1970s. He learned music as a member of his high school's brass band and performed on the radio for the first time in Oklahoma City at the age of 19. He was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in 1999, as well as to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Johnny Bond died at the age of 63 in Burbank, California, USA, on June 12, 1978, after a series of strokes.
