He studied Japanese at...Read more Columbia University and later studied comparative religion and parapsychology. He taught parapsychology at the New York Institute of Technology. He wrote over 120 books about supernatural and occult themes. He married Catherine Genevieve Buxhoeveden in 1962, and they had two children. He is known for The Amityville Curse (1990). He died on April 26, 2009, in Manhattan, New York City, USA.
