An Australian-American actor, producer, and screenwriter, born in Melbourne, Australia, to parents of Greek descent. He graduated from Stella Adler Academy of Acting & Theatre in Hollywood on a full scholarship. He began his acting career in 1982 when he participated in The Clinic. His film Bred in the Bone won the Audience Choice Award for Best Feature Film at the FAIF International Film Festival. He also won the Jury Prize for Best Supporting Actor at the 2015 Northern Virginia International Film and Music Festival for his role in Lost Angels, which he wrote and directed. He has been nominated for several other awards as well. Stan relocated to the United States in 1994, won a green card through the Diversity Visa Program in the late 1990s, and became a US citizen 5 years later. He is known for The Craving Heart (2006) and Perception (2012).
