British actor, born in Essex, England, United Kingdom, on September 11, 1919. He was married to Barbara, who stayed with him until her death in 1999. He worked in American film and television, in supporting and additional roles such as restaurant, bar, or nightclub patrons, quiz viewers, party guests, reporters, gamblers, policemen, and detectives. He is known for What's Up, Doc? (1972), Body of Evidence (1992), and My Favorite Year (1982). He died on July 28, 2013, at the age of 93.
