A Kuwaiti folk artist, born in Kuwait City in 1899. Her band is considered one of the largest Kuwaiti women's bands, and she was famous for singing many types of Kuwaiti songs. She played the oud, in addition to performing some songs without musical instruments. She had many participations with her band in theater, cinema, and television. She passed away on July 30, 1984, as a result of a chest disease that forced her to travel abroad for treatment.
