An Italian actor, born in Genoa, Liguria, Italy. He began his career on stage at the beginning of World War II and achieved great popularity after the war. Most of his performances were in Italy, and he worked in some joint productions with France. He had an extensive career in cinema and television, and he also worked on radio and as a voice actor. He married theater actress Amalia D'Alessio. In 1957, he won the San Genesio Award for the play ll Revisore. Among his works are Il figlio del corsaro rosso (1943), Constantine and the Cross (1961) and The Organizer (1963). He died on 25 July 1992 in Rome, Lazio, Italy, at age 76.
