He played stereotypical roles of Asian immigrant workers, cooks, and servants. He played his final role in The Manchurian Candidate (1962), at the age of 87. Some of his notable works include There's a Girl in My Heart (1949), Across the Pacific (1942), and Mr. Wong, Detective (1938). He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on May 1, 1966, at the age of 91.
