He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960. Among his notable works are Marry the Poor Girl (1921) and Timothy Dobbs, That's Me (1916). He was married twice and had 4 children. He died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, on July 20, 1977, at age 90.
