He was an American actor, director, and writer from the silent era of cinema, and he joined the era of sound in films. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, USA. His notable works include Kaiser's Finish (1918), Fashion Madness (1928), and The Tigress (1927). He died in Glendale, California, USA, on March 5, 1943, at the age of 60.
