A British actress, born in Hersham, Surrey, England, United Kingdom. Among her most important works are The Winslow Boy (1958), The Heiress of Garth (1965), Henry V (1944), and Lillie (1978). Janet Burnell began her artistic career with theatrical work in the mid-1930s and participated in film and television work from the mid-1940s until the early 1990s. She died in Fulham, London, England, United Kingdom, on June 13, 1999, at the age of 89.
