Patrick Waddington served as Secretary General of the Actors Charitable Fund. He received his education at Gresham's School in Norfolk and St John's College, Oxford. He began his artistic career singing, and he first stood on stage in 1924, often playing upper-class roles in West End theaters in Central London and Broadway theaters in New York. He also worked on the cinema screen and television programs. Patrick Waddington died in Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom, on February 4, 1987, at the age of 85.
